The Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board (UCSRB) hosted our fourth regional salmon recovery science conference on January 22 – 23, 2020 in Wenatchee, WA. The conference was based on the theme of “2020 Vision” to highlight the 20 years of work in the region and examine science in 2020 and beyond. Similar to our previous conferences, we brought in experts from across the Northwest and from within the Upper Columbia region to present the latest and most compelling science on watersheds and salmon.
The Upper Columbia Science Conferences are intended for a variety of audiences including monitoring and research professionals, project sponsors, contractors, regional technical team members, elected officials, agency representatives, academics, and the public. The four objectives for the conference are to:
- Connect science with recovery efforts,
- Share and discuss information about listed species in the Upper Columbia and their habitat,
- Bring experts from outside the region to share ideas, and
- Network and interact with others working on salmon recovery.
